As a member of our team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for migrants, while assisting with various administrative tasks to facilitate the shelter’s daily operations. Position SummaryJob Title: Assistant Administrative Support StaffFull Time or Part Time: Full TimeTemporary/Seasonal/Regular: TemporaryCompensation: $30/hourTravel/Location: On-Site Denver, New York, NYRequirementsTasks, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions. Provide general administrative support to the shelter’s management team, including data entry, document management, filing, and record-keeping.  Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Assist admin support personnel and site leadership with the management and documentation of site tasks such as inventory control, data collection, staff coordination, data collection and strike team initiatives.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of migrant residents, including personal details, case information, and any relevant updates or changes. Coordinate logistics support, project coordination, staff coordination and expense tracking.Monitor and replenish office supplies, ensuring availability of essential items for smooth operations.  Work closely with the shelter’s staff to assist with tasks, such as preparing reports, coordinating transportation, and supporting special projects or events. Handle sensitive information with discretion, respecting the privacy and confidentiality of migrants, staff, and organizational matters. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures related to shelter operations, including those pertaining to safety, security, and legal requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge Skills And AbilitiesMust be able and willing to perform well in a stressful environment and assist team in maintaining a collaborative, supportive workplace. Experience with following and executing program protocols. High degree of empathy. Must be detailed oriented.Comfortability with quick pivots/adjustments in program processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, strong Excel skills are preferred. Outstanding organization and ability to work independently in fast paced environment. Ability to engage, embrace, and celebrate the culture, ethnic diversity, and community values. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals and handle inquiries and conflict in a compassionate manner.  Experience/Education RequiredTwo years of work experience in support of emergency response or humanitarian operations. Two years professional/customer service experience.  Experience/Education PreferredExperience in Emergency Management/Operations. Prior experience in an administrative support role.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (includes reading, writing, and verbal). Past project work experience, data analytics experience, logistics and inventory managementExpected Hours of WorkSchedule may vary and require work on evenings and weekends and dependability on punctuality are paramount. Physical RequirementsMay require sitting or standing for hours for a long period of time.Mobility around client sites necessary. May require long hours at a computer. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively as needed. Work EnvironmentOn-site/Shelter Work may require work in austere locations and various weather conditions. All ACDC positions require travel to client sites or for emergency activations/deployments, as requested. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass company and any applicable drug, background check and reference check upon offer of employment. Eligibility to work in the United States is required. Working with individuals from diverse backgrounds including migrant refugees, and asylum seekers.  BenefitsEEO StatementAC Disaster Consulting is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to engaging a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
