The software is used to serve thousands of clients and millions of patients across all 50 states.WHAT DOES THIS JOB HOLD FOR YOU?You will be a technical leader with experience in coordination and implementation of tasks by a team of DevOps Engineers. Conducts reviews and provides constructive feedback of other DevOps Engineers’ work including Terraform and Chef recipes. A proactive person with years of experience in AWS, specifically EKS and containerized applications, to provide daily support to different internal teams on cloud infrastructure using a variety of AWS of services. Has a desire to solve challenging problems. This person will participate in a migration project to EKS, using IaC tools such as Terraform and CI/CD, to create and maintain applications and services with automated build and deployment pipelines.

  • Mentors and guides team members to deliver high-quality deployments and operational monitoring
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a blended team of onshore and offshore DevOps Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure code releases go smoothly, analyzing data for improvements and optimization
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Learn and master new and emerging technologies and take the initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions for deployment and infrastructure problems
  • Bring out-of-the-box ideas to improve system performance and stability and collaborate on infrastructure design decisions.
  • Automate deployment, management, and health monitoring of infrastructure and applications

What You Bring

  • You are comfortable leading and/or managing a team of onshore and offshore DevOps Engineers.
  • You have delivered and supported commercial, and enterprise software.
  • You have extensive experience in deploying applications and services to AWS, using CI/CD technologies, and operational monitoring technologies
  • You have a good understanding of both development and operational support
  • You are goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to be successful in a schedule-driven, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You possess excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • You’re a tinkerer at heart with an innate ability to solve tough production problems.

  • AWS managed databases and caching services (RDS, ElastiCache, others)
  • Passenger or NGINX webserver
  • New Relic
  • Grafana
  • CloudWatch
  • Kibana

Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or similar.
  • 7+ years in a Systems Administration, or an Infrastructure Automation role.
  • You have 2+ years of leading a DevOps team.
  • AWS DevOps Certification + Experience
  • You like to teach as well as be taught.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to resolve issues.
  • A can-do attitude and proactive approach to solving problems
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
