As a Travel Advisor, you will assist individuals with disabilities in planning their trips, providing them with valuable insights and guidance to ensure an inclusive and accessible travel experience.Responsibilities:
- Provide remote travel training to individuals with disabilities
- Help clients navigate travel booking platforms and find suitable accommodations
- Research accessible attractions, transportation options, and other travel-related services
- Assist in creating customized travel itineraries based on individual needs and preferences
- Offer guidance on travel-related challenges and provide practical solutions
- Collaborate with clients to address any concerns or special requirements
- Foster positive relationships with clients and provide ongoing support throughout their travel journey
Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old
- Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with individuals with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of travel planning, including booking flights, accommodations, and activities
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and regulations for different modes of transportation, accommodations, and tourist attractions
- Ability to conduct thorough research and provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Proficiency in using computer, tablet, and smartphone for communication and research purposes
- Reliable internet connection (Wi-Fi) and a suitable workstation to work remotely
- Prior experience in the travel industry or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
