TestPros is dedicated to making lives better, safer and more secure.Job SummaryTestPros is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a Security Policy Support Program supporting the IRS.Position: Full-timeCitizenship: U.S. CitizenshipClearance: Must be able to obtain IRS Clearance – Public TrustResponsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze and defines security requirements for issues.
  • Draft, review, and comment as directed by the government POC on Department policy and instruction documents.
  • Draft, review, and comment as directed by the government POC on translating federal requirements into Department policies and requirements, including, but not limited to: NIST publications, OMB guidance and requirements, and FISMA.
  • Support solution designs to requirements.
  • Support effort to gather and organize technical information about mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs.
  • Support risk analyses, which also include risk assessment.
  • Support agency with knowledge and guidance in following NIST, FISMA, and Agency Information Security and Privacy Guidelines.
  • Support enterprise security activities, including information security program management and cybersecurity management.
  • Support information assurance, security assessment and authorization, and information security and privacy governance efforts.
  • Conduct scheduled, ad hoc, and special reviews and assessments of privacy programs and efforts to ensure compliance with appropriate, laws, regulations, and policy standards and requirements.
  • Create required Privacy documentation in support of the security authorization process.
  • Develop and maintain procedural, technical, and training support documents for the Privacy documentation review processes.
  • Review and track Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Privacy Threshold Analysis (PTA) documents to completion in accordance with current standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Support the reviews of current Privacy Plans and assess how the plans must be updated to align with the organization’s and the client’s strategic plans and the cybersecurity framework.
  • Assist with responses to technical data calls.
  • Provide vulnerability and configuration compliance tracking and remediation support.
  • Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s cybersecurity goals.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for cybersecurity.
  • At least 2 years of security policy experience.
  • Ability to analyze privacy requirements and implementation within the organization.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply privacy investigation and data collection techniques appropriately to ongoing investigations.
  • Knowledge of NIST and FISMA guidelines and Federal Cybersecurity policy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Understanding of IRS Information Security and Privacy and Various Cloud Environments.
