Reliability Quality Technician job
Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a Reliability Quality Technician that will work as part of the Quality Team. Once a part of the Foxconn team you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Quality department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.The Reliability Quality Technician will develop, modify, maintain quality system procedures, support subassembly & final assembly operations, testing subassemblies, as well as, final assemblies and assist the Quality Department as needed.Job Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, engineering and regulatory functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Possessing the ability to be able to recognize and identify different electronic components and have experience and familiarity of use of common electronic tools
- Assists with an analysis of routine contract requirements to determine what quality characteristics are to be controlled; manufacturing, inspection, test equipment required; special controls of special processes; and special skills needed to ensure their proper application.
- Develop, modify and maintain quality system procedures.
- Analyzes all warranty claims to determine root cause why the product was returned.
- Supporting subassembly & final assembly operations, and testing subassemblies, as well as, final assemblies
- Support internal or external audit activities where needed, along with nonconformance investigations and dispositions.
- Inspecting and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests.
- Performing final inspection as needed and preparing quality inspection reports.
- Verifying repaired units adhere to established standards of appearance, functionality, and quality
- Having visual acuity to read prints and interpret codes and/or alpha-numeric information on wire and components
- Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Providing feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions.
- Assisting Quality Engineers with measurement analysis of Production Launch runs and other duties as assigned.
- Supports weekend and second shifts when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements & Ideal Experience Includes:
- 2-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of printed circuit board testing procedures
- Experience reading prints, schematics and other manufacturing documents
- Experience calibrating test instruments, performing functional testing
- Soldering experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
