- Implement real-time, high-performance web applications for desktop and mobile
- Architect elegant, maintainable, testable solutions to complex technical problems
- Integrate with third-party platforms and services to pull in auxiliary content, services, and data
- Tackle performance bottlenecks and drive improvements to our backend infrastructure
- Share software development best practices with the team and mentor junior engineers
What You Bring
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals through education in computer science or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of Frontend and/or full-stack experience building optimized UI, scalable, and distributed systems
- Thorough understanding of design patterns, coding practices, micro frontend architecture, asynchronous and event-driven development.
- Strong experience solving enterprise problems and taking projects from concept to production
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Typescript, and front-end languages.
- Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
- Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
- Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates for single-page applications.
- Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Experience developing real-time systems with streaming services (such as Kafka) and WebSockets
- Experience working with functional programming languages such as Clojure
- Experience working with ElasticSearch and Kibana
- Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience solving problems in the healthcare industry
- Noteworthy open-source contributions
- Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database
- Understanding of cloud services from providers such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
