**Administrative Assistant****Job Details****Level**Entry**Job Location**Phoenix House- Springfield Gardens – Springfield, NY**Position Type**Full Time**Education Level**High School or GED Equivalent**Salary Range**$40,000.00 – $550,000.00 Salary/year**Travel Percentage**None**Job Shift**Morning**Job Category**Admin – Clerical**SUMMARY**The Administrative Assistant is an integral part of the outpatient clinic team as the primary point of contact for patient scheduling and services and operational management of the clinic.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Functions as the initial point of contact for patients both on the phone and in office.
  • Appropriately triage calls, schedule appointments and provide information about the programs services.
  • Coordinate patient payment methods with our benefits department and patient benefit providers.
  • Assist the program staff in managing compliance with regulatory operational requirements.
  • Administrative assistant coordinates the completion of weekly billing requirements with program staff and the billing department for claims generation.

Required Experience

  • Experience in customer service/receptionist positions in an office setting required
  • Prior experience working with Chemical Dependency patients and/or experience working in an healthcare outpatient clinic setting a plus.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
