The Sales Manager – Leisure and Corporate for The Chatwal New York is responsible for the Luxury Leisure Sales for the Suites, Consortia and Boutique Luxury Agencies markets as it relates to prospecting and attaining relevant bookings. This role is focused on luxury leisure and corporate sales.The Sales Manager will effectively familiarize and grow all current Chatwal New York leisure consortia, luxury Hotel collection programs and boutique agencies as well as maintain rapport with individual high-net worth repeat guests for The Chatwal New York specifically.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals as designated by the Director of SalesMaintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenueLuxury Consortia Travel Agents, Boutique Luxury Agencies, Individual and Suite clientele.Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue while satisfying clients’ needsMonitor production of all Chatwal New York Luxury Consortia, Hotel Collection programs and Boutique Agency Accounts, as well as Individual and Suites clientele specific to The Chatwal New York and evaluate trends within the luxury leisure industryAssist in the RFP process for Luxury Consortia and Boutique Agency accountsShow initiative and resourcefulness in developing Individual and Suite Sales to increase market share, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Work with all departments in preparation for VIP suite clientele arrival and experience.Actively solicits new business through outside cold calling, entertaining and appointments.Implement special promotions relating to the Luxury Consortia and Boutique Agencies, and Suite sales segmentsMaintain an active prospecting, new business development and outside sales call activity as well as a site experience schedule a cultivating one-on-one meeting opportunities with Individual, Suite and repeat in-house guests as The Chatwal New YorkConduct thorough site inspections of the hotels with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the propertyProactively engage clients off-property via office visits, industry events and client entertainmentAttend networking leisure tradeshows and promotional events which may include travel, in order to develop networking opportunities through active participation and eventsComplete a daily/weekly log of all key activitiesKnowledgeable of all VIP guests and communicates to the team all needs of the guests.Curates a personalized and meaningful experience for the Suite, Individual and repeat guest. ABILITY TOTravel when needed to luxury trade shows, roadshows and sales tripsNavigate through Consortia/Boutique Agencies industry contacts with knowledge of the marketMulti-task and effectively and efficiently prospect, sell, cultivate relationships with repeat Suite clientele specific to The Chatwal New York.Work with VIP celebrity and high net worth individuals delicately and ensuring their confidentialityEfficiently work with Microsoft Office programs including Office, Excel and PowerPointAbility to learn and use database and sales programs such as Envision, Opera Cloud, Reserve and HotelligenceWork independently and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with other departments and employees Hyatt is a place where high expectations aren’t just met-they’re exceeded. QualificationsA true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environmentRefined verbal and written communication skillsA minimum of 2-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferredMust be proficient in general computer knowledgePrefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent trainingPrefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills trainingPrefer experience working in the luxury segment
