Electrical Designer/Engineer

SCEG offers mechanical and electrical engineering for hotels, apartments, condominiums, single family estate homes, theaters, shopping centers, restaurants, retail stores, schools, offices, hospitals, libraries, museums and amusement parks. Responsibilities:
Full Time, flexible, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. – noon. Candidates should have some level of experience in the following areas plus the desire to learn and work with a team.
· Calculating loads, performing short circuit studies and energy analysis
· Lighting, power and low voltage systems design
· Selection and specification of electrical equipment, field observation and reporting
· Laying out and sizing distribution systems
· Coordinating with building departments, clients and other project team members
· Review of contractor equipment submittals and RFI’s
Requirements:
This position is available to a self-motivated, growth oriented, professional seeking a flexible environment and rewarding opportunities.
· 1-5 years’ experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings
· Excellent AutoCAD skills required, Revit skills preferred
· Proficient in the use of Energy Pro; Easy Power and other industry standard electrical engineering software preferred
· Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal required
· Outstanding organizational abilities
· BSEE preferred
