We are seeking a Front of House Shift Supervisor for our new restaurant to help us create an experience for the community by sharing irresistible food and Aloha Spirit. Job Summary: Reporting to the Service Manager, the Front of House (FOH) Shift Supervisor is an extremely valued hourly position within the Hello Hilo concept. This position is responsible for driving all FOH organizational efficiencies and effectiveness with an emphasis on providing an Aloha experience through gracious guest services and irresistible Hawaiian foods. This is a working supervisory position that will also be directly involved in daily operational activities. Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this position include but aren’t limited to:· Maintains FOH operational excellence through supervision, coaching, and modeling of the values and Aloha behaviors. · Provides consistent leadership and encouragement to lead FOH team members during business hours.· Supports all FOH operational processes, systems, and controls so they are consistently maintained and effective.· Helps the Service Manager with all daily restaurant FOH operations with the goal of exceeding all guest expectations.· Ensures employee safety, store cleanliness, and food handling best practices are being followed.· Communicates observations and activities to the staff and management teams.· Cultivates a diverse and welcoming culture of Aloha for all guests and team members.· Maintains excellent level of food, service, health, and safety standards to ensure guest and team member safety.· Collaborates with Service Manager to conduct team meetings as necessary.· Drives organizational effectiveness with an emphasis on providing our guests with an Aloha experience and irresistible Hawaiian food.· Maintains department schedule and ensure proper staffing throughout shift based on business need and assigned labor goals. Skills/Experience: · High School Diploma or GED· 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations and/or training· 1-3 years of experience within a leadership position· Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills· Strong ability to lead and develop a team through coaching, training, and mentorship. · A true Aloha Spirit: Phenomenal guest service and hospitality skills· Basic math and computing skills· A “curious, critical and collaborative” thinker who is always eager to learn · Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to provide feedback and coaching to team· Proficient in all FOH positions and able to support all of them as needed· Self-motivated with the ability to see what is needed to be done with little direction · Strong organizational skills · High attention to detail· Must thrive in a fast-paced team environment· Must be flexible on schedule and process, able to pivot and change easily· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time during shift· Ability to arrive on time ready to work for all assigned shifts including, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed King’s Hawaiian is an equal opportunity employer.
