By hiring and contracting the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for Cognitus Consulting and for the people who work here.ResponsibilitiesThe Office Administrator/Help Desk is responsible for providing IT support to Cognitus employees and contractors on all hardware, software, and network-related problems by answering all questions, providing problem resolutions and manage office administrator day to day activities while working from our Dallas office.

  • Answering all IT related Team calls and emails on a priority basis.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT support requests from employees.
  • Generating sign ins for new hires during the onboarding process for various systems.
  • Shipping laptops, new hire kits and business cards to new hires before the start date.
  • Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed.
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems and documenting them to create knowledge base articles.
  • Changing configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues.
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed.
  • Updating employees on the status of their service requests.
  • Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
  • Maintains and updates record keeping system; may document projects and maintain user instructions/ Standard operating procedure (SOP’s).
  • Provide front desk reception coverage, collect and distribute all incoming mail and courier items.
  • Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials and office supplies; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports and/or systems errors.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced level knowledge in the use of all office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience supporting Windows 10, 11 and Office 365.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office products, Jira, Atlassian.
  • At least one year of helpdesk experience in a corporate setting is preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines & prioritize tasks.
  • Customer Service attitude to truly meet the needs of those you serve.
  • Willingness to be a team player & work in a team environment.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week), Non-exempt
  • Work hours: M-F, a 4-hour shift each day is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Education

  • Associate degree in a related discipline or equivalent certification.
