Join an expansive network of professionals who work together within a company culture of one shared mission.The Quality Engineer Manager will have responsibility for supporting activities to define, develop and deliver quality improvement projects and change initiatives as well as supporting production lines with the operations quality team.Job Responsibilities Include:
- Attending leadership meetings and giving updates on progress reports.
- Interviewing candidates for the quality team.
- Must be knowledgeable with excel.
- Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, engineering and regulatory functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Manage the quality team to ensure all needs are being met for the customer.
- Assists with an analysis of routine contract requirements to determine what quality characteristics are to be controlled; manufacturing, inspection, test equipment required; special controls of special processes; and special skills needed to ensure their proper application.
- Develop, modify and maintain quality system procedures.
- Analyzes all warranty claims to determine root cause why the product was returned.
- Responsible for providing HW/SW analysis (DTC & Bench Test Confirmation, Log Capture, PCB Component Level investigations, etc.)
- Support internal or external audit activities where needed, along with nonconformance investigations and dispositions.
- Maintain Risk Management Documents for Released Product (includes Risk Management Plan/Report, Risk Analysis Document, Risk Management File, dFMEA and pFMEA)
- Supports new product introduction activities with product design transfer efforts, implementing processes, reviewing and approving plans and reports and supporting qualifications and process validations.
- Support the manufacturing line where needed.
- Manages CAPA projects using Problem Solving and Statistical Tools while keeping to predefined deadlines.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Design or specifies inspections and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis.
- May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
- Supports weekend and second shifts when necessary.
- Provides leadership and review of Process and Test Method Validation with cross functional teams.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements & Ideal Experience Includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 3+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality is required.
- Must have over 4+yrs as an Engineer Manager
- Must be able to support weekend and off shifts when necessary.
- Must possess a technical aptitude in SMT, electronics, PTH, AOI, visual inspection experience, use of electronic/electrical measuring instruments and tools.
- Certified Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt or experience in DMAIC methodology preferred.
- ASQ certification in Quality is desired.
- Effective English verbal and written communication and presentation skills is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
