Our company produces air pollution control systems for particulate and gaseous emission collection based on wet scrubbing technology. Our systems are used for the treatment of chemical, industrial, metallurgical, medical, and pathological wastes. Our systems our designed in-house and then fabricated by a network of suppliers. This Expeditor position will work with the Project Manager to maintain production schedule and documentation submittal. In this role, the Expeditor is expected to perform weekly meetings with up to 5 key fabricators, provide detailed schedule updates to the Project Manager, ensure fabricator is following established Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), receive and assemble quality documentation, and expedite sub-suppliers providing parts to the fabricators. The Expeditor must either live in the Houston area (Port Arthur) or in San Diego. If in San Diego, the Expeditor is expected to work out of the office twice a week. If in Houston, the Expeditor is expected to visit a key fabricator every two (2) weeks for a minimum of four (4) hours to verify progress and take photos. The Expeditor will be required to complete an OSHA 10 construction safety course prior to any site visit. The contract is a fixed length six (6) month contract. Any extensions to the contract must be in writing. No overtime is permitted.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weekly schedule update for up to 5 key fabricators
- Weekly progress report for up to 5 key fabricators
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and an inspection and test plan (ITP)
- Assemble quality documentation for submittal
- Expedite sub-vendors as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with industrial structural steel, piping, and quality systems
- Strong written and spoken English skills required
