To this end, Honda strives to realize “the joy and freedom of mobility” by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a “zero environmental footprint.”We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team.If your goals and values align with Honda’s, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!About This PositionThis department provides for the acquisition, development, maintenance, and support of information technologies and tools required to facilitate the internal clients’ business operations and interaction with external business partners.This position provides daily operational support for EDI related activities including transaction monitoring, error handling, creation and maintenance of translation maps, creation and maintenance of job streams, establishing and supporting trading partner relationships.Responsibilities IncludeEDI operations management

  • Monitor daily communication and translation functions to ensure accurate and successful transfer of documents
  • Research missing or delayed documents through the VAN and internal translation processes
  • Ensure all outbound documents are properly acknowledged
  • Error log monitoring and resolution, communicate accordingly.

Trading partner management

  • Work with trading partners to set up new relationships and add documents; establish and maintain meeting cadences; communicate meeting minutes
  • Process test files when received to provide feedback on their accuracy and completeness
  • Provide test data when requested within 2 business days
  • Create required translation maps and business processes based on requirements

Application development

  • Participate with other COE & ISD associates in design discussions when projects contain an EDI component
  • Support testing of developed software and software updates
  • Use your own experience and knowledge of available capabilities to recommend solutions
  • Ensure documentation and communication of systems solution

Project management

  • Maintain list of open or available EDI projects via Clarity and/or ITSM
  • Track and document status on multiple concurrent projects
  • Organize and prioritize time to complete tasks on schedule

Strategic planning

  • Develop relationships with internal customers and trading partners to understand needs
  • Conceptualize and plan potential solutions to meet customer and trading partner needs

Who We Are SeekingRequired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience using a major integration platform such as Sterling GIS, Sterling Integrator, or SAP Process Orchestration
  • Familiarity with ANSI X12, EDIFACT, SAP IDoc, and XML document formats for data exchange
  • Ability to create and maintain document translation maps between formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat file, CSV, etc.)

Required Education

  • College degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent work experience)

Other Job-specific Skills

  • Proven ability to set priorities among multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience researching document exchange issues using tools provided with EDI software and VAN
  • Ability to work as part of a team to design and implement solutions
  • Experience creating guides
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills implementation
  • Familiarity with C# or similar object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with job streams using Sterling BPML (creating, monitoring, scheduling) .
